Market Validation Through Personal Experience
The genesis of DNQR stems from a deeply personal experience. In March 2024, the founder’s grandmother was found unresponsive in bed. EMTs arrived on scene and immediately called two family members, neither of whom had access to the DNR orders or medical directives. As such, the EMTs performed unnecessary and unwanted CPR. To the benefit of the founder’s grandmother, the EMTs were too late.
The founder’s father, a physician, had a patient who was so adamant about being DNR that he tattooed “DNR” onto his chest. The directive was still ignored by the EMTs who worked on him.
